Registration: On 14-Mar-2012 Shakti Mahakoushal got independently registered body ( 04/14/01/14269/12) Jurisdiction – Entire MP

Establish: Shakti came into existence as a women wing of Mahakoushal Vigyan Parishad in the year 2006.

Under the guidance and with the vision of Prof Sureshwar Sharma (VC of RDVV Jbp and one of the founder member of Vigyan Bharti) and Sri Tarkeswaranandji (president of Mahakoushal Vigyan Parishad & retd Dean Medical College).

Charge was handed to Dr Arunika Bhatnagar (president IMA and renowned gynecologist)Dr Karuna Verma (Prof and a Botanist) Dr S Sharma and Dr Ankita Bohare (Zoologists). Support of Dr S Awasthi (Secretory MVP).

26 Feb 2011- Science Day Celebration with a theme “Chemistry in daily life” – madam curie special , In collaboration with MP Education Board, Bhopal

7 Sept 2011- Awareness regarding Anemia under Health checkup & Counseling in collaboration with Jabalpur Obs-Gyne society &World Vision (Health Programme.

5 Aug 12 – A joint programme with Giants group Jabalpur on Breast feeding, at Lady Algin Hospital, Jabalpur.

25-08-2012 – World womens equality day celebration, with a health lecture by specialist students and employee females as well along with poster ppt & Slogan writing at St. Aloysius college, Jbp.

  • 27 –Sept-2013- World Tree day celebrated by raising awareness regarding Ayurvedic Plants in local school childrens.

Activities of Year 2014

Shakti Sthapana Diwas (March 22nd 2014)

This event was celebrated by organizing a grand public function at Jabalpur.

Function was presided by Hon’ Justice Smt Vimla Jain, MP High Court. Chief Guest was Smt Vandana Manadvi, Member, MP, State Women Commission and Special guest was Smt Archana Rawat, President, Army Women’s Welfare Association CMM (Jabalpur). Social Activist Mrs Kanti Rawat Mishra delivered a talk on women and society.

Shakti Prerna Puraskar was presented to Ms Payal Lilhare, for her commitment and dedication for imparting education amongst children economically weak section of the society.

iShakti Support was conferred upon Kumari Rajkumari Patel, Athlete, (Cross-country runner): wherein we took endowment for her training for entire year.
The programme was successfully observed by huge amalgamation of women from all fields wherein Women and delegates across Mahakoushal area of Madhya Pradesh participated. The response from across the society was unprecedented.

YUVA SHKTI ABHIYAAN (24, 25 & 26 April 2014)

With the aim to transform growing adolescents into empowered youth who are oriented, creative, , responsible, aware of social ills and motivated to find a solution- Shakti Mahakoushal conducted Yuva Shakti Abhiyaan at Balak Mandir High School of M.P. Electricity Board Rampur , Jabalpur from 24 April 2014 to 26 April 2014.

Out of six session First day two session were conducted on Education & Career (Mrs Aparna Awasthi) and Lifestyle & Health (Prof Asha Khanna). Second day two session on Social responsibility, Values& Lifeskills (Mrs Hansa Thakur) Personality & Behaviour (Dr Sunita Sharma) were taken and on the last day Food & Nutrition (Dr Madhuri Deshpande) and Social Law & Legal Rights (Adv Namrata Kesarwani) session were consummated *which was followed by feedback by teachers and students along with certificate distribution to all the 130 students of XI and XII.

YAadoption & Development Progrmmme (Jan-May 2014)

Mahakaushal Shakti’ had selected Bhatoli (Kalidham) village wherein poverty, unemployment, dependency, literacy and civic amenities are inadequate or inappropriate, as Project Area for adoption and development.

  • It is situated at the bank of river Narmada and therefore has much scope for development like herbal village or ecotourism. With the help of Gram Panchayat, Pragmatic members and village resident we were able to collect relevant data of the village.
  • On 20.04.2014 and 08.05.14 get together and interactive sessions with the villagers, including gram panchayat members were held so is to plan a roadmap for further development and scopes and vis a vis for extruding out their intentions.
  • Several issues come across like lavatory usage, guidance for higher studies, support and training for self-employment like embroidery, knitting, making bags and tailoring , coaching or general tutor classes for Maths & English including Basic Computer education, getting rid of liquor supply and addiction in men, health issues in adolescent girls and women.
  • Meeting of Shakti was also held with CEO Jilla Panchyat Jabalpur wherein scope of Govt schemes and projects were also discussed. Shakti Mahakoushal decided to initiate with lavatory usage awareness and then lavatory establishment in each house with the help of Jila panchayat authorities of MP government.
